Pros:
Bigger screen
Fast response time
3.5 mm audio jack and good touch screen

Cons:
Bulky
Windows 6.5 Mobile is under performer in comparison to Symbian operating system
Very less in built memory

Conclusion:
The HTC HD2 looks are very attractive and the performance is also very fast but the price and not so good operating system makes it not a value for money choice. You can get all these features in Nokia N97 Mini or N900 that are also very good Smartphones, hence not recommended.

A straight no to a product which is arguably having the best hardware in the industry is a little harsh. Definitely WinMo is a downside but not in comparison with Symbian but rather with Apple’s 1 Million Appstore

I agree that HTC HD2 got good specifications but looking at the price and in comparison to Nokia N900 or Samsung OmniaII 18000 its costly and underperformer. Thats why its not recommended.

I wonder if you have actually used and experienced this HD2 first hand? The HTC HD2 with the HTC Sense is an amazing experience. By no means an under-performer in any regard. If price is the only factor taken into account then by all means, recommend the cheapest phone available. You must compare apples to apples. The Omnia II has less RAM and a slower processor! (800 MHZ). Naturally the HD2 will be more expensive.

The N900 on the other hand is a heavier phone, less RAM, no Java and an even slower processor (600 MHZ)

I agree that this is the best Windows Mobile available in the current market but I would have loved to recommend it, if it would have Android OS. I would love to chose HTC Hero with Android OS rather than this. Again it depends on everybody choice, if you love Windows Mobile OS and have no price constraint, then its the best phone in current market undoubtedly.

wasn’t sure if i’d like this unlocked phone but it’s great! easy to use, phone is huge and the processor is way better than my old phone. screen is big and texting is esay. videos and pictures and crisp and great. my wife loves hers for the facebook and email and i love the stocks. way better than my old unlocked blackberry phone. it’s kind of hard to hold against my head because it’s so big but that’s nothing compared to all the positive features. got our last couple unlocked cell phones at gsmallover.com and we love them. gps and navigation is great for trips too. htc is really bringing it this year!

  7. I purchased my HD2 almost month in the past, already were given lot of apps on it but want extra of course. Still want to in finding higher PDF reader, with higher fullscreen mode and multitouch. Making plans install android on it but it’s going to be not very soon.
