CherryPal has released it’s new netbook named as Africa, The world’s cheapest portable netbook costing only $99. This netbook is launched with 7 inch display screen and a low power 400MHz processor. This netbook comes with an option of either Linux or Windows CE. This netbook has 256 MB of RAM and 2GB of storage space which means it is meant only for work. It also has 802.11b/g WiFi and an 1800mAh battery.
CherryPal has also released a second model named as Bing which uses 1.6GHz Intel Atom N280 CPU processor and have 13.3 inch display with 1024 x 600 screen resolution. It also has 1GB RAM and 160 GB hard drive just like other netbooks. It runs on WindowsXP and has 1.3 megapixel webcam inbuilt, a card reader and 802.11g Wi-Fi. Company is selling this netbook for $389. This netbook has a battery backup of 5 hour and weighs only 3 pounds.
