Times of India Bid for Free – Great Advertising Strategy
Times of India have launched a new Ad Campaign, Bid for Free for National Capital Region readers. The idea is very simple and innovative, all you need to look for the products available and bid for them FREE, yes it’s free and that’s the biggest reason which can make it a success and increase their readers base. Readers doesn’t need to spend any money to Bid then what is the item used for bidding purpose. Check out after jump.
So How to Bid:
1. Check the Times Currency on the front page of Delhi Times from Monday to Friday every week.
2. Add the daily Times Currency from Monday to Friday.
3. Look out for the ad that will appear every Sunday in The Times of India.
4. Use the week’s total to bid for any of the products shown in the ad every Sunday. Remember, you cannot use more than one Times currency for one day to arrive at that particular week’s total.
The highest bidder will get the chance to win the prize, if he will answer the contest question correctly.
You need to place your bid by sending sms BFF to 58888.
There are also more than 2,500 exciting prizes to be won every week including Nokia phones, Hitachi ACs and Refrigerators.
You can call at their helpline at 23302173/2147 /2864 for more details that will be open to answer queries from 10am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.
So, start collecting your Times Currency from today and make sure to bid for the prize every Sunday without spending a Penny.

and this is the last week ,
i asked times of india office plus the people giving the gift.
I have totalled around 118200 till date for the week 11th – 15th July 2010. Please share if anyone have got 24K + for 12th Jan.

which means currency cannot exceed 125000 in a week ..

in delhi per day amount does not exceed 25000, except one day , when it was 27600

This is just cheating I got three SMS and was given only one gift. As per rule if I dont claim my gift it should be given to next highest biddere. same will be applicable to all who got multiple SMS however noone got SMS after the dostribution days were over.
This is not done TOI this is not brand building its brand malinging.
