Ultra-thin harddrives for netbook from Seagate

As the world of netbooks and notebooks continue to get thinner and lighter Seagate has announced the launch of Momentus Thin, a disc drive designed mainly for netbooks having only 7 millimeters thickness.

The Momentus Thin is 2.5 mm thinner than others existing drives which can create a revolution in netbook market. Seagate will offer this new hard drive Momentus thin in 160 GB and 250GB capacity both having 8 MB cache and spin at 5,400 RPM.
Companies such as Asus and HP right now are using SSDs 4,200 RPM 1.8 inch hard drives in their ultrathin portable models such as tablet PC Eee PC or HP Mini 100. But Seagate Momentus thin will be ready to replace them and make them ultra thinner.
