Sony Ericsson is now just SONY

You might have all heard the rumors about Sony and Ericsson breaking up after their marriage in the world of mobiles. It has become official now. Here is its nutshell version

• Sony Ericsson to become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sony and integrated into Sony’s broad platform of network-connected consumer electronics products
• The transaction also provides Sony with a broad IP cross-licensing agreement and ownership of five essential patent families
• Ericsson to receive EUR 1.05 billion cash payment
• Sony and Ericsson to create wireless connectivity initiative to drive connectivity across multiple platforms

But why? is a question lingering in many minds. Just think about it with Ericsson out of the way, Sony can easily integrate the awesome PSN (PlayStation Network).And moreover it can introduce sync features (which have been missing so far) with its amazing products like the BRAVIA TV,VAIO Laptops and the upcoming Sony tablets.On the whole you get better sync and better Playstation Services.
