Ice Cream Sandwich and the Galaxy Nexus Prime Released
Google and Samsung has launched the much anticipated Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS for mobile and the new Nexus Prime smart phone at a joint Samsung Google Event in Hong Kong Wednesday morning.
Samsung is affirming its dominance as an Android vendor. Even with the fact that Samsung took its time before it switched over to Smartphone market, Samsung has gone a long a way in making up for the time it spent with its success with the Galaxy Smart phones i.e. Galaxy S II phones and the Nexus S.
J.K Shin, head of Samsung’s mobile business said in a statement, “Samsung and Google have closely collaborated to push the mobile experience forward.”
“ Ice Cream Sandwich demonstrates the Android platform’s continued innovation with one release that works on phones and tablets and everything in between,” Andy Rubin, head of Google mobile business, said in a statement.
The new Android Ice Cream Sandwich has numerous features, including a faster interface, updated graphics, folders and integration with Google+. The new Android Ice Cream is the latest version of Android OS. Ice Cream can be used in other devices which makes it unique compared to previous versions.
One captivating feature of the Galaxy Nexus is its camera, which includes native features ranging from filters to panorama shooting. The brand behind the Galaxy Nexus has been put to the open, hours after it was being officially launched by the company.
The Galaxy Nexus Prime possesses a 4.65-inch display and LTE; it also runs one of the fastest 4G networks in the world and has a dual core of 1.2GHz. The device has NFC support and a 5–megapixel rear- facing camera with LED. Your face uniquely unlocks the phone – facial recognition replaces a traditional pass code. Multitasking on this device is very possible. The Galaxy Nexus has a People app that helps create your contact list, linking individuals with all of their social profiles.
