Nokia N8 Smartphone is Great – Specifications, Review and Price in India
Nokia has launched N8 – their latest Smartphone in N-Series. The phone has been officially launched on 27th April and will be available in market by Q3 2010. Nokia has not launched anything new in the recent days and N8 is their most advanced mobile phone and packed with lot of Smartphone features.
Nokia Symbian operating system has been outdated by iPhone OS and Android and N8 is powered by brand new Symbian^3 platform. The new features introduces in Symbian^3 are multi-touch, gestures support such as pinch-to-zoom. The graphics quality has been improves for faster and more responsive UI, better memory management and includes a task manager also. There are three customizable homescreens that is not a new thing and we have already seen this in Samsung Corby Pro.
The best feature of Nokia N8 is it’s 12-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optical lens and Xenon flash. This is the best camera in any Nokia phone and you can easily capture high quality images and HD videos. The large sensors gives it an edge over many point and shoot dedicated cameras. You can edit your images and videos with a smart built-in editing suite.
If you have a high quality camera, then you need a high quality display also to get the best out of it. Nokia N8 3.5-inch HD capacitive touch screen display is perfect for this. If you want to share your images with friends or want to view them in the larger HD screen then all you need is to use it’s HDMI connector to hook your smartphone to your HD TV.
Nokia N8 is equipped with Dolby Digital Plus surround sound system for amazing music and video playback.
From the memory side, N8 comes with 16GB built-in memory and you can expand it to 48 GB – highest in any of the smartphone from Nokia.
Social networking shortcuts are now unavoidable part of any smartphone and N8 is not an exception. It comes with Twitter and Facebook shortcuts and widget support for any other social bookmarking sites you might be using. It has access to full range of Ovi Services and it’s Nokia first smartphone with Qt integration. If you don’t know Qt – it’s the software development environment for easily building Symbian apps.
Nokia N8 is nowhere less in the looks either and carved in a single piece of anodized aluminium and looks gorgeous. There are five vibrant colors to chose to match your style.

Price: Nokia N8 will be available in market by third quarter of 2010 and official price is 370 Euros before tax and other surcharges. We are expecting N8 to be launched in India with a price tag of around 30,000 INR.

nice smartphone…but the question is will it be able to compete with its sibling giants…like the new iPhone 4 and Android etc….i think no….
I got this phone recently and I can say its one of the best Nokia smart phone I have used till now.All the features are working amazing.The sound quality is impressive.
Nokia make the best dumbphones but still cannot make a half decent smartphone.
