This laptop is compatible to Win XP. You can buy this one if u are looking for affordable choice. If you want to load Win 7 then make sure to have atleast 3GB RAM.

Battery backup is not so good if u compare with Dell or Lenovo laptops but the price is very affordable. You can buy an extra battery or I would suggest u to look for Dell affordable options. Check out laptop category to see reviews of dell laptops.
THERE IS NO SUCH INSTALLATION PROOBLEM WITH xp,it is compatible ,the problem is that it doesnt come with sata driver support so for that u had inbuilt the drivers in the cd by nlite software
my cq40 often getting os problem, now its adopting xp os, vista only being able to instal. i like to know wat will be the problem. am i like to instal xp os only. pls give ur advise in this regard
