    Hi Siddharth,
I am not sure about Maya software but I have personally used Autocad sometime back and I can assure you that it will be able to handle it easily.

    Mufaddal,
There are so many things you should consider before buying a laptop. First of all check the servicing options in your area. If your budget is around 40K then you can check Dell Studio 14. If you are going to use at home only, then you can go for 15-inch notebooks.
PS: It is advisable not to put your phone number on the site as it can get you some spam calls. :)

I am at present using a Compaq CQ45-206AU AMD Turion RM-72 Processor based Notebook. It is working fine. My problem is that it is pre-loaded with Windows Vista Home Basic. Though I have downloaded and installed Vista SP2, the performance is the same. RAM used by me is 4 GB (2 Nos. of 800 Mgz Modules). If I will get Windows 7 Professional full Operating System (I mean, genuine CD/DVD for purchase in India? Then how much it will cost? All are selling only OEM Versions and I need the full Edition of Windows7 Professional.
Also, it is stated in the SPEC of CQ40-613AX that it supports maximum 3GB RAM only. If its motherboard has support for only 3GB or if it is meant to refer to the 32 bit Operating System which supports only 3GB RAM? Please clarify. Because, 64 bit OS will support more than 3GB RAM. However, if its motherboard supports only 3GB RAM, then an upgrade of RAM above 3GB for using it with A 64 bit OS is not possible at all. Please clarify whether you mean its motherboard’s RAM support OR the Operating System’s RAM supoport?

    Hi Siva,
First of all thanks for the query. The RAM support depends on the motherboard configuration and here we are talking about the motherboard support. Windows 7 is capable enough to support much more RAM than this.

Coming back to your slow system performance, there are various ways you can improve this. Please check below post for more details and if you are having 4 GB RAM then it should not work slow.
Can you please explain clearly what all applications you are running and when are you experiencing your system to run slow ?
